Don LaFontaine’s voice, which launched thousands of movie trailers, and which permeated the American landscape as that perennial “voice of God” (at least alongside the immortal John Facenda), has fallen silent. LaFontaine died yesterday at the age of 68 from complications realted to a collapsed lung.
